Exhaust setup

Exhaust setup
Last summer I installed these manifolds and tails. The tails are 4.5" diameter. I was running 4" tips. What I did was cut a piece of 4" exhaust hose, slide it onto the tip flange, then used 4.5" hose to connect the tails to the tips. Heres the problem, the hoses burned up in a couple hours becuase the angle is to sharp from the end of the tails to the tips.
I am thinking of going with a pair of those transom rings, that will allow some slack for the angle. Also, instead of running 10 inches of hose to the tips, just use a longer 4.5" pipe and get within a inch or so from the rear of the tails and use a rubber coupler. I didnt like having to reduce the size down from 4.5" to 4". The water dumps into the exhaust stream right at the end of the tails. Any thoughts? Who make transom rings that fit 4.5" pipe? Thanks!

I have 4 1/2" exhaust and needed some new custom tips made.
Eddie Marine made them to my exact specifications and I had them in about a week.
Call JC over there and he will hook you up...
