I was using the Amsoil 75/90, but was told to go with the Royal Purple. I would imagine that the 75/90 is the route to go as I certainly don't want to lose any speed?

That's what I would go with.

Just found some at NAPA for $10.89/qt. If I buy a case, $9.89/qt. Not too bad. Is there a shelf life?

Since I've always paid to have it done. How many qts for each Bravo drive? Thanks.

RP is more similiar to Mobil-1 and Amsoil than different. They do put a purple dye in it for the fun of it.

My feeling is that Mercury HP is very good and the others being synthetic are a tad bit better.
