Whats the best RPM to be at on a 496 mag for top speed?

I got the 496 MAG HO recommended RPM level per manual says 4600-5000 RPM, I think the mag is 4400-4800 RPM.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm spinning 4750 and I was wondering If I could get more out of it and gain some speed?

On the HO not the mag.

My guess is that you are at a good rpm now.
Maybe 4900, but not much more...

The rpm range is 4600-5000. The limiter as stated is 5150. I tell my customers I like to see them ran 4800 to 5000. Everyone has there own preference.

Hey John,
Is the web page wrong?
It states the max rpm to be 4400-4800.

No sir! That page is correct. I didnt read long enough to see if it was a Mag or an MagHO. The 496 Mag is 4800 max rpm. The HO is 5000 as stated. Sorry for any confusion guys, guess I need to read further!!
