Ryan Beckley - Stickerboy on OSO. Did the vinyl deisgn for my Scarab 5 years ago now, I had it put on locally and it still looks good to me.

Done right, vinyl will last quite a few years.

RacelineDigital is top notch to work with. I have a 29 outlaw, re-did the gelcoat from the rail down in white and went with their graphics...

Can vinyl wrap be placed over sanded paint? I was going to re-paint the boat that I am restoring, now I am wondering if I should just wrap it.

Donz-
the surface needs to be smooth. Even very light scratches will be highlighted by the shiny finish of the vinyl and stand out even more. Also, depending on the type of vinyl used, and especially with light colors of vinyl, any contrasting color areas of the substrate may show thru, so it's a good idea to have everything the same color.

All are true and also be prepared to spend $$$ for the printing and installation can only be done by those who have experience in installing wraps. Printed graphics, without an over-laminent will fade in high UV levels, especially in the marine environment.

FYI
