Default Emi 496ho Exhaust Junk

I Replaced My Exhaust On My 2001 Ol25 496ho With The New Emi Exhaust System. First Problem One Of The Risers Was Welded Wrong And Emi Wouldnt Replace It They Said They Didnt Have Anymore And Would Have To Get Some Made. Never Got A Call From Them. So After 2 Weeks Without Boating Modified It By Grinding The Outside So You Could Fit A Nut On It To Tighten It On The Manifold. Now That Same Riser Keeps Burning Hoses Off Every Second Trip And I Dont Run It Hard 3000-3800rpm It Will Not Let The Water Flow . I Kick My Self In The Rear Everytime I Think About When I Got Rid Of The Stock Manifolds. Any One Have Any Luck With Emi Or Know Someone That Can Get Me Some More Risers For Them. Will Any Other Risers Fit Emi Manifolds? Please Help. Gary

I can't help you with those but I have my stock exhaust off my 01 496 that I would part with. I put on a set of CMIs a few years ago and have even sold the boat now so I don't think I need the stock ones anymore.

I installed Dana exhaust this year and have the set of 2005 496HO manifolds and risers available if you are interested. Also the turbulator plates available. The risers have O2 sensor bungs installed as well.

How did you get the 02 sensor bugs in there? Would you part with just the risers?

I had a local machine shop drill the holes in the risers to accept the bungs and then a local weld shop to weld the bungs in. They are positioned to install from each side of the engine. Yes, if they do not sell as a set with the manifolds. If you want to, PM me an offer.
