50wt is pretty damn thick at start-up. Personally I much prefer a 20-50 for my 800SC's. Even at that, the oil pressure is high until there is some real heat in the motors.

Im not running a blower motor but it is slightly modified and was told todat that with the heat in houston i should run rotella 20 50 because it will take longer to thin out with the zinc??? Ill give it a shot.

Straight 50wt is like pumping molassis when it's cold. You could damage the bearings before any oil gets to them.
20-50 is a much better choice.

Thats all I ran in my blower motors. Valvoline Racing formula. I'm in Atl, GA temp are 90+ in the summer. Nothing is to thick at 90 degrees. Never a problem, engine had over 400 hours on it when a nut from the flame arrester went through the carb and jack it. Ran perfect till then.

I have run valvoline racing 50 for several years. The motors have been apart a couple times now to be freshened and the bearings look like you could put them back in the box.
