Let’s just cut to the chase-
I've got a spare 750HP whipple blown 502 with silent choice that I'll sell you cheap. That should make it a wild ride.

You know you’ll want to go faster.

You've got "spare" 750 hp blown motors lying around like I've got spare paper-clips... I forget now what you had that engine in before the 260 - a Persuader? Did you upgrade the drive? How much additional clearance was required with the whipple? I shouldn't be going here...

This was the original engine in the ZT260. It only did 92mph. One season 70 hrs. It all fit under the hatch for me. You might need to raise the hatch slightly. I ran a standard XR drive with it. It all depends on the throttle control.

I can send some pictures if you want to see it. I loved the silent choice setup, what a sleeper.

Actually, not. No PM ability on your profile? Can't find any previous e-mails to you since an inept computer tech. lost my entire harddrive by cleaning it without first backing it up. Damn computer guys...

I swapped my 496 for a new 525 170 hours ago. BIG IMPROVEMENT!
There are issues with the harness if you fit a 2006 1/2 or later motor (as I did). Well worth it!

how far off are the exhaust holes? Did you get custom transitions, or did/can you use the rubber? Thanks.

I'll email you. I didn't use much on OSO that I needed to pay for so I'm just registered now. (No PM's)

As a computer guy, you're responsible for you own backups, but he should have asked if you had data. Keep that data backed up at all times or you will be screwed sooner are later. Sorry it was sooner.

I'm starting to think this swap is not worth the hassle.

Take your 496 put a raylar kit and and exhaust on it and your at 560hp.

Probably have a little less money in the deal at the end unless you can buy a 525 for 16k and sell your 496 for 10k.

Reliablity would probably go to the Raylar 496 and you could run silent choice with no headaches.

You have to really like the bling on that 525 ...IMHO

Actually that "bling" goes real deep on a 525 - right the way down to the pistons, rods, crank....
