Default CMI ETOP tailpipe conections

How many flange types were made? & are the tailpipes compatible? If you have an older style Etop can the connection be fabbed up to work with the mercury style (500efi) tails??

Your headers are the old rope seals. I always liked these better than the new flex flair seal, the Mercury header flange is flat. You can easily modify your tails to work. Or, send them to CMI, and have them do it.

I like the Stellings better , just put a bead of high temp rtv and let it rip.

The merc flat style gaskets are 20.00 each dealer cost. thats stupid insaine, Trick sells them for 7 a pc. just think of the collector gasket of a header for a car. $2-3.00

yes they are bravo set-up's through transom tails, I am concerned about noise but not so much as not wanting to hog out the transom holes to 4.5 (although it is an option)

Ran dom I'll buy a set of those tails if you want out of them.To fit those tails you will need a bigger transom hole than 4.5".The hole gets taken out to about 6" and there is a rubber and ring that fits the transom to allow movement.
