read the marine lubrication post, start from about 6 pages back from the end, you really want to ask about (1) flow & (2) filtratation & then pick what you need. big diff from wix and wix racing etc, read the whole thing & you will really know

If the Wix works for you stay with it. Take a look at the size of the inlet holes in the Wix verses the Fram . There is less volume which results in a restriction in flow. This isn't our first rodeo.:D I guess when you have bearing wear and dirt you need a filter, maybe I'll start not running any.....We do not have that problem.

The Fram filter you posted is not a HP series. The HP filter has 8 holes that are the same size as the wix photo you have pictured. Our preference is Fram through over 50 years of building championship winning engines . You can use what ever you want.

My Motor guys uses the fram HP series on my motor so that is what I stick with.
