No water in the oil.....

I would check again to see if there is any water in the oil .
The dip stick will show oil but at a higher level . The water is sitting at the bottom of the oil pan . I learned this when a gasket went on one of my engines . At first I thought the oil would turn milky . But it never was mixed up yet .

You and your girlfriend aren,t by chance shutting down the boat and drifting stern first to the waves while trying to conceive on the back hatch before all this is happening by any chance?.

If this is true we will need pics to see if this is really your problem.

Intake gasket was all messed up. Will change gaskets and then drain oil. I drain from oil plug on the bottom of the pan. That should get most of the water, if there is any out. ?My kids are grown up but we still practice conception on the boat. On the deck tho, not on the rear hatch. Keeps the water out of the exhaust that way.....will get some pictures when in KW for the races....yeah, right!!!! My wife will go for that!!!!!!

Must be an epidemic happening here. 406 SBC in my 1968 Firebird coupe. Water in the Royal Purple. No water in cylinders, just the lifter valley from a defective intake gasket.

Good excuse to pull heads and do valve job.

Fill the crankcase with half cheap oil, and half diesel. Run it for about five minutes, then drain it. This will usually cut out any emulsified oil.

The oil cooler will need to be cleaned /blown out of any water/oil & then again for the diesel mix .:p
