Question Crane HI-6M on HP500EFI

I am thinking of changing over to a Crane HI-6M ignition on my slightly modified HP500EFI to help idle and cleaner plugs. All I have read is that these type of ignitions systems (MSD, Crane) are used on non EFI engines. Can these systems be used on computer controlled engines and are they a easy hook up. But I quess most importantly are they worth the extra money.
Thanks

Crane may be working on a new system that could replace your present EFI. However, you mention slightly modified, perhaps the solution is re-tuning, relative to the modifications.

Raylar might have expertise for tuning your present system.

Thanks CcanDo for the update on Crane, the engine has alu. heads and the Crane 41 cam. The ECU was reprogramed. It seems to run OK, but would like a little more power and thought that updating the ignition system was a good next move.

Doubtful that an ignition box would gain you any power. Was the ECM programmed on a dyno or with a wideband O2 sensor????? If not, that is your solution.

If your plugs are dirty, or fouling, your computer isn't calibrated perfect. Are your plugs fouling??
