Thought about it, but my boat is currently runnig SSM II and I would not have the cash for a motor swap and outdrive swap.

What kind of power are you making? I can't make up my mind on what I want to do. So may pro's and con's. Somene was telling me the D-Max has the same rear bolt pattern was a Big Block. Any truth? Then you could use same drives and transmissions.

Thanks

Mike

Well I will try. They both do use an Allison Trans. which have the tranny brake std. but I do not know about the bolt pattern. The one thing that their is no comparison is fuel milage 8.1 I got only 9-11mpg w/o boat, 6mpg w/boat and the D-Max 16-19mpg w/o and 13-15 w/boat. I did put a Edge Juice w/attitude on the d-max which makes it a Blast to drive...... what did you mean "then you could use the same drives and tranny?

Yep I keep hearing people are starting to put diesels in boats. I am sort of starting with a clean slate and looking at all my options
