Default HP500 Dart intake

Does anyone know if Dart put brass water passages in the intakes for Merc? Or are the Dart and Merc intake Identical?

Thanks,
Frank

the dart and world intakes that look just like a merc 500hp intake both have the brass insert cast in.

WORLD has them brass ,but never saw them on DART, I have had 2 two darts one in 1995 new, one in 2000 new , still have it on my 509, its fine and I run salt water, A friend got my 95 intake and got a leak after 7yrs of not flushing his motor, so for 5yrs I flushed it, and another 7 unflushed in saltwater ,he has cmi headers to doesn't flush them either there 4 or 5 yrs old this yr so they should be leaking this spring

So if you buy a Dart intake then they don't offer a brass water passage. But if you buy a Mercury intake will it have it??? I always thought they did, but I may be wrong (again)

I have (2) without bronze inserts - from 1996 Hp500 - they were not leakers when they came off, but the water passages do have corrosion - They are clean neat and blue - you pay shippping and you can have them -

Just buy the Merlin intakes they work just as well as a Dart but include the brass water passages

For the record gentlemen Dart does "NOT" build their manifold with any brass insert options. While World Products "Merlin" manifolds do have them. These manifolds are "NOT" the same they are similar but the Dart manifold is a taller unit and according to past inside discussions with Mercury Racing they chose the Dart version for the HP500's because it produced the flattest torque curve of the two.
