After market exhaust
What after market exhaust would you suggest to use on a stock small block ? Need to get the anchors they've got bolted to the engine out of there.

Do you want a Performance Exhaust system or a cast aluminum replacement system for your cast iron system?

I like the CMI's, but probably more then I need for a stock motor. The ones on ebay are nice, though I would need two sets. I did run EMI's on my ProCharged Eliminator, and they worked well. Just looking for a little performance edge on all the other 292's with stock power.

If EMI worked well for you, there Perfomance Small block system's are the same. PM me for a price.

For a stock engine your not going to gain much. If you go with aluminum manifolds the weight savings will benefit the most. I use Glenwood Magnaflow aluminum manifolds and FastGlass Stainless long risers. I gained 150-200 rpms and close to 2mph on a stock Merc 260. This is on a hull that ran 60 stock and weighs 1800lbs dry with a pad bottom.
It's really not a cost effective peformance mod unless you plan on further modifying the engine. If you still plan on it your better off going with the GLM aluminums. They are half the price of the others for the same performance gain.

I went with 2 sets of polished Revolution Marines.....great price.......direct drop in for your stock Merc manifolds.......took 200lbs off the back of the boat and add some bling.......about 1.5 to 2 on top, noticably better holeshot......very satisfied......make sure you get both brackets(shift and oil filter) and dont bother getting the polished versions , you cant see them......doug
