Default 100 MPH in N.J.

Since I accidently shortened my 26 ft. nova down to 24.6ft. I have been shopping around for my next victim. Anyone out there know anything about this Velocity 30 in Somers Point ? supposedly it will hit 100 mph with 650 H.P. N/A 468s but I have my doubts. any info or even comments and opinions would be welcome

I doubt it's getting 650 horse out of 468's, unless they're 14:1 tunnel ram drag motors. 650 will propel a Velocity 30 to 100. I've done it. The Velocity's pad bottom takes some driving skill at 75, 100 it takes an educated touch.

That was my thinking also, to get even close to 650 out of a N/A 468 it would have to be pretty high comp. and prolly alot of revs. Boat has 26p 4 blades on it with a set of 28s that go with correct me if Im wrong but that only puts the boat into the low to mid 80s at about 5500 RPM ?

Velocity's have always been "fast" hulls. Although 100mph sounds ridiculous, I know of a older non stepped 32 hustler that does 92 with a pair of built N/A 427's. But that is with ASD surface drives.

I would think 85-90mph might be closer to what it runs though.
