Default Hazard a HP Guess

HP500 engines with HP525 cams. Merlin square port cast iron heads. Holley Strip Dominator intakes. Holley 800 cfm carbs. Procharger M1SC superchargers. IMCO exhaust with one piece risers. MSD ignition.

What does this set up make on the dyno? Of course the exhaust won't matter since it will be with dyno headers. M1's on 502's will probably only make between 3-1/2 and 5 lbs of boost.

3.5#s is good for about +150HP on a 502 and 5# about +200HP so I say the 725HP estimate is right on...

Which intercooler do you have? We have dynoed 740 HP @ 5600 RPM using an M1 on a 454 with similar parts, but the M1 is really getting too small in this range. With an M3 and our intercooler you would make closer to 850 HP on a 502. Have you done any work on the exhaust ports of those heads?

I know from reading that the exhaust ports are the bottle neck on those heads, but these have not had any work done. The intercooler is small. I don't recall the number, but I'm going over to the shop today and I'll check. It is not the AW-504.
