Default Perko switch problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question, do perko swithes go bad? The problem we are having is everything in the boat works, however when you go to crack the motor's all you get is TICK,TICK like the batteries are low. We did jump from the batteries to the starter and both motor's would crack like normal. PS batteries are new and the volts on the dash gauge read 14volts. ??????????????????????? Please help. Thanks Scott

most likely a dirty/loose connection or even possibly a bad cable.

I have had to change a few perko switches in various boats, due to the switch being bad.

The brass contacts inside the switch to corrode, especially if they sit for a while. Try moving the switch back and forth several times. Sometimes they just can't be saved and need to be replaced.

yes, they are set on the correct setting. If the perko switches are good what else could the problem be? Thanks
