Oil Releif Valves Gen 6 Block
Just tor down 500 efi motor for freshen up & noticed no oil releif valve in the main oil port, This is a merc factory motor. Is it missing or not needed ? IN the past all gen 5 & 6 blocks have had it.

are you talking about at the oil filter lines that hook up to the block?

It's not required, or recommended in the outlet port of the filter pad. make sure you replace the other one next to the nipple with the 30lb bypass valve. part#25161284
