I agree, use nothing, the stock gaskets work well, just fix that. Why dont you like 4200?

I read somewhere that you torque to 55lbs.. is that right?
My boat had some sealer on the gaskets from the factory, if not 4200 what about a little regular silicone sealer, I am a little uneasy about using nothing... I am doing the same thing as scarabfun.. |
55 is the factory spec.
Torque gradually in a criss-cross pattern. |

I have the TRS service manual here, it says torque to 25-30 ft lbs and start from center and work your way out, just looked it up.

seem's light i know but i'm going with 25 ftlbs and i'll retork maybe a day later. still uneasy about no adheasive, i might use a very light amount, very light, probably just a below water line silacone. it had some on when i took them off & i think it was factory from scarab. tork spec. was from an orig. tr-trs manual. good luck Full Force.
