Glad you found it. Don't put sealant on the new sender when you install it. It grounds itself throught the threads.

Default tan/brown?

On my eliminator I have a tan/brown AND the tan/blue that everyone else has. My buzzer was plugged into the tan/brown and did not work. Wonder if you have a tan/brown also, and why or why/not? I know its a shot in the dark, but maybe your buzzer is plugged into this wire?

yep, you're right, that's when i was a rookie. tan/blue on the right into the intake.

just to close this thread, it was indeed a bad oil pressure switch. installed new switch and am back to normal start-up alarm.
