The pumps are easily repaired/rebuilt. A local automotive electrical shop can do this for you. It's usually just brushes and a cleanup of the poles on the armature. Sometimes they get wet and the insides need work- the fields may need to be replaced. Rebuilds are usually alot cheaper than replacements.
Definitely do them both. |

Not tryin to hyjack but since we are on the topic I have a tab problem as well. Sometimes it will move and sometimes it won't. When it does it will shutter a little. Also, say its down and it won't go up at wakeless speeds I can get on plane and it will go up to pretty much level and no more. I figure its my pump?
Maybe to thick for it to pump? My understanding is straight 30weight non detergent oil is what I was told on my new Tab |
Depends on the pump. Older one's took hydraulic fluid.

I started a thread on hydraulic fluids a few months back. There are lots of "answers", but the best philosophy seems to be "put in what the sticker on the pump says".
