Default Throttle Only Button Stuck

Help! I have a Quicksilver 4500 Dual Throttle console mount control box with the round black plastic neutral detent "throttle only" buttons on each handle. When I depress the buttons, one sticks in the neutral only position and the other is sticky at best. How can I rectify this situation? I've WD-40'd the hell out of the inside bushing and the rim of the black button as well. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Harry

the only way to repair this is to take the control box apart and clean the old dry grease out of the throttle only shaft and all of it's workings this is not a job for you unless you have had these boxes apart before.
