Default Livorsi GPS Speedo Problem

The boat I recently purchased has a Livorsi GPS speedometer. As soon as you start moving it registers 20 mph, but irregardless of speed it stays on 20, and then occasionally it will jump up and register the proper speed for a few seconds and then back to 20. I haven't gotten under the dash yet to check things out, but if I'm correct, it probably just has a power wire and a wire from the antennae/sender. Anyone have any advice other than check for loose or corroded wires.

check for broken wires from the antenna to the head unit. The break INSIDE the plastic insulation.

It does not matter what the speed is, only that it is at the 9 oclock spot. I just boxed mine up and will send back today. They said it is usally the antenna and runs about $70 to repair with a two day turn around. Give livorsi a call 877-548-5900

Same problem on mine. I sent it to them to replace the rim and when I reinstalled it does the checkout when you turn the ignition on and then to 9 o'clock position no matter what speed.

Stuck @ 9:00 on a Livorsi is no, or bad signal from the antenna. Just replaced mine and it works fine. From the # of people with this problem (seems like a lot) on this thread, it may be more common than we knew...........

What did you replace? The antenna?
