Default Merc part guys.

Im having a hard time finding dipsticks that will work with my new engines. The blocks are new but are the old style (pre 79 ive been told) with the dipstick journal that runs the full height of the block on the left side.

Ive looked at a few online drawings for pre 79 350c.i.d 260's and from looking at the crude drawing I'm not totally convinced that they will work. Can anyone verify that the Merc part will work? The part # is 32-72539 for the tube, and#72938 on the dipstick.

The stick itself needs to be 8" into the block in order to read the proper oil level, and 12 to 14" out of the block to route around the manifold and up to the back of the head.
