Hyd steering presure adjust at idel?
Since the suprercharger last summer, I noticed my hydraulic steering has become tough to work when docking at idel. Bump up the rpm to 1000 and it's fine. Is there a presure adjust to this system. The pump is stock, Merc hp500efi, the rest of the system is IMCO .

Add on or full Hyd?
RPM is the factor, so I assume you dropped the idle RPM from the motor change? |
I have the same problem, has done since installed, full hyd, with power assist, Imco sys. 1000 - 1200 rpm great, under 1000 harder than H---

Full hydraulic should not be hard to turn at idle. I can turn mine with 2 fingers at a 700rpm idle. There is an orifice fitting you can drill out where the high pressure hose connects to the pump also.

Was the pulley ratio changed with the other changes?

No same pulley, same RPM at idel, Full Hydraulic steering.
I've had the problem since the supercharger was put on. I'll read that article posted above. |
Maybe just a pulley change would be easier than removing the pump and drilling pieces out.
I'm going to try buying a smaller pulley first. |
