I am leaning towards the turn down tips but concerned while sitting at the dock or at the beach, can water from waves or boat traffic surge up the tips and into the motors?

I have not done a db test on this system, but I know it is a lot quieter than when I had Gaffrig air-mufflers, with built in turndowns, that leaked ex. around the butterfly's. The motors are 572" PSI supercharged, 1100hp. Hope this helps.

Reply to 1CE. I tried inward only once, several years ago. It did not seem to make any difference, but the handling around the docks was a struggle. I'm planning on switching the drives in a week, to turn the props inward, to give it another shot. I will report back as to what my findings are.
