Blower Motor, Aluminum Shavings in Motor.

On the 4th my blower self destructed rotors hitting the case. What happens the shavings that go through the motor? I would think on a NA motor the cam overlap would blow them out if the did not melt in the chamber. How does this work on a Blower motor? Should I be worried in any way? Maybe do a compression check?

with any luck they passed thru with out causing any problems, you can do a comp check and make sure nothing is cought up in a valve, it should not cause a problem with the pistons, but it all depends on how much went through. Good Luck

More than likely, it did nothing. I've seen this before and I've simply never seen it cause a problem. Most gets combusted, burned and or pushed out the exhaust.

My plugs looked just like these...is this too lean? Wondering if I should go back to my 4" pulley? Running 126* tstat and 93 octane which 2/3rds of was from last year. I am worried that I detonated or may detonate. Running with 7.5 CR, stock fuel map and 3.5" pulley (6.5psi boost) should I be worried?

Heat range looks ok, should have a ring around the white porcelain,I don't see any coloring there.

There was no ring.

Dustin...have you ever had to lean out a 575 with increased boost (at say 6psi)? This thing was running pig rich before, I thought I would be OK. Maybe just being paranoid.

from what I can tell looks lean to me....was there any idle time before pulling the plugs or did you pull right after a full throttle pass ? if any idling looks lean as hell...Rob

I don't know a darn things about blower motors, but I would put that gas in your truck and go 100% fresh. Fresh gas today sucks and 10 month old gas is just a recipe for disaster.
