The problem is that Mercury performance blend the agent here is asking for $450 a gallon. So do you think that I wouldn't work with the Lucas oil???

Just wait til next year. Merc is raising the prices another 10-15 % min. A tube of rtv sealer is going up 77 % .

Stock up now for your oil needs next season.

I wouldn't say the Lucas product wouldn't work, I personally wouldn't use a TCW-3 oil in this application.
A TCW-3 oil is a good oil for a fishing motor, steady state operation low RPM's.

It is very unfortunate that the agent, just because he is the agent can screw the retail customer.
I would think for the price/gallon he is asking, you can buy it in the States and get it shipped via UPS or DHL and still come out ahead.

Ken,

I had considered that, But either DHL nor another courier company will ship oil by air frieght. So I have to choose from what I find. Now I see if I can find in the UK.

Thanks

I have shipped suspension oils to England and Italy via UPS, no problem. Alittle pricey but they shipped it.
