ok, got the low water pick up muff, and hit the key.. boat started first try......but the motor is not getting any water. I pulled one of the hoses going tothe manifolds and nothing. so i am thinking the empeller came apart, and them otor got a littl hotter than normall ona hot day and caused vaper lock. it now starts buyt needs an empeller?

thoughts?

empeller was GONE, put new one in,, motor gets watter now, but will still not run, fuel pressure is only 20 when you hit the key. you can play with it, and get it to 38-40 and it runs. but will not keep this up...

put new pump, fuel redulator, and cool fuel system in. pressure is still low, 10-15....fuel filter is dry.....will putting gas in the filers fix it?

Fill the fuel filter with fuel and try it again. Chances are, you have a lot of air in the fuel rails.

Ok so i filled the filter and got pressur, and it ran for about a min. then dropped pressure and started same thing. I found out that the fuel line going from the pressure regulator tot he fuel filter was kinked, and leaking at the fitting a little. so i am assuming that if i fiz the kink and get the fitting tight so no leaks that the pump will then be able to suck new fuel into the filter and keep the pressure up?

thoughts?

That could easily cause the low pressure. You may have just saved yourself an explosion as well.
