While I am not a proffessional engine builder, my .02 says that Eagle parts are on the lower end of available internals. They are prices cheaper for a reason. I understand they are heavy and are of a lower grade steel. If your intensions are to build an engine to beat the hell out of, I would recommend a Callies crank , Lunati ProMod rods. Dart blocks are top of the line, no troubles there.

Vinny,
Are you building a supercharged 565? Are you going to put that in the Convincor?

Rob,

No I am not. If you are refferring to the question and answer posted in this months HotBoat... I never sent in that question. I did post it here on OSO. The thread was highjacked over to HotBoat Magazine.

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...ht=565+whipple

I was kicking the idea of a Whippled 565, but decided not to. I am building an NA 565 for a spare.

I have a 572 NA that they built 730hp and no problems as of yet after 10 hours. The only issue I had was their wait time was quoted at 6 weeks I ended up waiting almost 10 weeks. That was ok because it gave me time to get the rigging cleaned up.

I would focus on the engine builder, not the parts. Let the pros pick the best value in parts. Invest an extra $3000-5000 get the absolute best builder/engine rigger.
