Default rebuild and get more hp out of 500 hp carb motor

Well here is the deal i have a 500 hp carbed motor i got fuked on and if i am gonna be pulling it apart i might as well get some more hp out of it.

So i guess what i am wondering is where to start and part #s best place to shop any info that will help out. Goal is 100 to 150 more hp. pocket around 6000 to 7000.
Also if any has any thing to add that i should consider that would be great. Thanks Jeramy

Aluminum heads and a custom-grind hydraulic roller cam will put you there. As long as you have the exhaust to support it.

PM RMBUILDER- he can hook you up on the parts and the proper heads. AFR 315 CNC's are probably a good bet on what he'll recommend.

How many inches approx from the head does the exhaust gas/water mix with your emis? That has a lot to do with how aggressive you can get with the cam.

The Eddie's are basically Gil copies. They should be dry right to the tips.

Can you confirm that?

As far as the help, glad to. That's the idea of this place- sharing what we've learned. I've been the recipient many times.

Depends on the risers he got with the EMI's.

I've not seen that many, but all of them I recall had an outlet right at the tip. Now, on a Bravo boat, that might not be that far away. Does EM make a mixer-style tail?

you can make a solid 575 using the parts that are there and at the same rpm...do not let anyone do the work that can not complete it from start to finish....this includes dyno'n the engine as well.
