What is the max boost an 850 will allow?

I'm not sure of the maximum boost - but I do know it's all computer controlled ....

Next time we run it I'll set the Smart Craft up and see if it's an option for the gauge layout on the digital dashes ...

You could call Bob @ Mercury Racing - he's been a ton of help for me.

8-9psi is max boost on the 850sci which depends on elevation and atmospheric conditions.

hmmm I see a pattern. So if they made 20 psi it would be called a 1600sci?

If they went to bigger blowers, and it would still need more boost to get to 1600! Cam is way too small then injectors, fuel system, intercooler size, manifold ports, etc. are all a restriction when you get to that level.
