Default 525s V 575s

I am shopping Cigs and wanting to get some pros and cons of each motor( not 525SC). I have read about header issues and a few other things. Hours to think about top end rebuilds, Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks, Quinlan

I think that most of the 525efi header issues were in Salt Water conditions and is an over stated issue. I've got an 05 and no sign of problems what so ever.

Can't comment on the 575 SCi.

The best deal out there is Wild's 38 T/S with 575's. http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o26273-en.html

My buddy has 575's in his skater and hasn't had any problems. I have a 525, and it's a beast as well. I think it comes down to do you want blower motors or not? If something does go wrong, they are likely going to be more to fix.

I dig my 575's
the only issues that I know of are the rear bearings
are suspect on the B&M superchargers, and the
head gaskets leave something to be desired.
( I just experienced that)

Just my opinion... 525 efi hands down

They should only build

525 efi

700 SCi

1075 SCi

Buy the top one and work your way down the list. Good to go.

575's are VERY reliable and a solid platform. Like all blue motors figure on upper end about 250 - 300ish hours and have blowershop go through and upgrade blowers this winter.
A TG with those motors is loads of fun. Once you have a blower motor, you will not want to ever go back.

If your happy with stock performance and will never " want more " go with the 525EFI.

The 575 SCI is an easier platform to build on
