500 EFI Distributor or Parts

They no longer service the parts for the distributor. They are the same as a 575SC, or a 502MPI. I need part 5 of the breakdown which is the shaft that has a magnet attached. The magnet comes off, but that is not a part. This is just a GM distributor. GM has two versions of it, a 1104060 502 Ram Jet EFI or a 1103952 which is used for efi engine. With out comparing side by side, they look like either would work. I am thinking merc used the ram jet version, as it is simular to the 500 intake. I am thinking its the smaller version. You can get these for under $200. Who knows what model it is?

Jeggs sells it on version for $149 and has pictures inside it that looks idenical.

I have had to replace those shafts in GM vehicles before, and if that is a delco EST dist the one a chevy dealer carries should work fine, don't remeber the magnetic peice coming off though....local dealer here has them in stock.. just ck the dia as I hear there are two differnt sizes, Rob

Think I got it. On the Bottom underside of the distributor is a part #1103799. GM used different part numbers for the same product for different vehicles. They used this on a DeNali

Looking to find it a GM. The avalible 1103952 in the GM performance parts book should be the same.

Linnie I got mine from Mark,New, he has someone in Florida he gets the GM stuff thru,Cheaper than the dealer.he might beable to get that part?

I wonder why they corrode so bad on the inside,I tried painting the floor, you can see were the paint went:eek: Maybe its the MSD? The screws that hold the module even rust,I have to clean everything once a year, this winter I just coated it with dielectric grease, maybe that will help
