Innovate is probably the most common and the cheapest. I used one for years. The sensors are allergic to water, so don't get them wet.
I use one made by FAST now. It can read 2 sensors at once. You need to know what the afr is in both banks of the engine so that you can tune based on the lean one. This allows you to monitor both banks at the same time, or one bank in each of a twin. The FAST is a little more than the Innovate, but well worth it. It runs $450-$500, where the Innovate is under $400.

Ken,
Dustin Whipple recommended the NGK setup for simple testing and it seems to be pretty accurate. ~$299.00

As Eddie mentioned the Innovate is very nice and you can also monitor MAP, RPM and a few other parameters if you opt for that capability.

Innovates LM-1 was on Tunertools.com for 299.00 also, it's not the newest or with all the other functions but it is a wideband style.
I just put a bung in both tails and check back and forth. Believe me if I can use it anyone can.

Ken it's just going to give you info. and it wil be in the form of AFR. You can use this info. say if you want to send your ecm to someone to reflash this would be a great starting point.
