towing boat 15000# 10'6"
Any suggestions on a towing vehicle??? I own a 2008 f-250 with air bags already. I tow a 31' 12500# toy hauler now. I will only be towing 30 miles on flat ground.... stopping and being able to see down the sides of the boat are my concerns.
|
the 10'6" going to be the issue as that requires a wide load permit and if you get caught without they bust your ass
|
thought the limit was 11'???? you are right and the state guys are in my area on a regular basis with all the trucks...guess I will look into a slip
|
wide load
8 foot 6 inch is max over the road. anything wider is going to need permitting. alot of guys just say screw it and take the chance.
|
But if you ever had an issue...
and the insurance company investigates... and you were not legal... Do you think they will pay? |

Any way to find indoor storage near a marina? This could allow you to only travel a mile or two, to the ramp. Just another option.

I didn't think of the indoor storage...they do have a few near Tickfaw...one right by the marina but I don't think it's deep enough to handle a long boat but its worth a shot. Hey...you got me thinking...my just pay for the new boat with this idea...:ernaehrung004:
