Default Heads for my 420's

Rebuilding my 420's and going to roller cams. Before I can order my cams, I need to decide on which heads to use. The original heads were the 990 GM castings. Instead of soaking money in these heads, I feel it might be better to buy new ones. I'm going to stay with cast instead of aluminum, so what are the good choices? How are the Dart Iron Eagles ? Any advice is appreciated.

The Dart Iron Eagles are the only ones that I keep hearing about when it comes to cast iron. "JimV" seems to do a lot of head porting on the Iron Eagles---they make good power.

JimV's phone number is 616-889-0928...he knows quite a bit about different head designs and the power they make. He can also set you up with Iron Eagles.

There is a nice pair of Dart heads in the Swamp forum today.
Already ported and setup for roller cam.
Great price also. If I did not have aluminum heads I would purchase them.

Kaama, Thanks for the info. I need to decide in a week or so. I'm getting prices around $2000.00 per set , sound about right ?

1BIGJIM. I called about those heads, good deal, but I would rather have 2 sets that are matched. Still have your Pachanga ? We had a really nice 22 for a few years, great boats. Then we moved up to a 29 Fountain, then a Formula 357. We still have the Fountain, but hope to move it after we get the Formula back together. Thanks again
