Default trim tab?

I need a set of trim tabs, but Everything I look at says for 65mph. I can not justify spending a lot on trim tabs right now so k-planes are not really a option.

Does anyone have and suggestions or some used tabs they want to part with?

If I buy a set of Bennets, or Lencos will I be inviting trouble over 65mph?

Thanks for the help...

noone has a opinion or a set of tabs they would like to part with!

Thanks Rob, but they are pricey after you add all the hoses, pumps, through hulls, and switches. My boat does not have tabs at all, so I will need everything.
That is why I was considering the Lencos or Bennets as they come in a complete kit for around $800. I just did not know how they would hold up to about 80mph.

tx911, what kind of boat and power are you running? This may help in determining what your needs are.

I have a 91 baja 240 sport with a 630hp 509. I was running a 27 mirage plus last year and the boat is terrible to get on plane. The prop would blow out all the time, and the nose just hangs in the air and it will finally get on plane. Once on plane the midrange is great and I have had it to 82 on gps. This year I have changed to a bravo 1 prop, and after some testing will send it to have it labbed, but I think I need tabs to help get the thing on plane better. I am just not sure if the cheaper lencos and Bennets will hold up at 80mph. In the last 5 months I have spent about 12grand getting the boat back together and cant afford to spend another 2-3grand buying k-planes so am looking into a cheaper alternative.

I was also having a problem with the mirage carrying the bow, I hope the bravo will help that too. You could get it up to the mid seventies and then it would start bouncing the nose up and down (porpoising), you would have to trim it down and shed speed. I thought the tabs may help aleviate this with out shedding so much top end???

Those are what I was thinking, just do not know much about them, and everything I have read on lencos says 60mph. With the tabs and the swithches they come out to about $1200. Dont want to spend that if they will not hold up.

I actually think these will be fine !!!! The ones with the twin rams . If they are only 1200 ,,,wow thats a good deal.

Also a 240 is not that heavy,,,u got to realize that aswell.

If you just need them to get on plane, and they wont be set below the hull at 80, bennetdual rams will be fine.
