both, these blowers start making boost as soon as you start coming on plane so boost in H/P comes thru the midrange as well as full throttle...

You don't need actual hp in the mid range. You need torque. Roots blowers, like the 177 make lots of torque in the mid range.

It will use the fuel that a 550 HP engine should use.

Don't forget that if you get interested, I have all these parts on my shelf that I would like to sell.

I am in the middle of buying parts for my personal boat, so whenever I sell something, I can buy more parts that I need.

Jeff, i want to do the upgrade together with bottom end earliest in summer or fall. the other thing is, that i will need the parts for two engines and i think you have parts just for one.

Chances are you will have to accumulate to get this done.

THere are 2 long blocks out there that are for sale that need rebuilding.

Good luck

454/365hp mags will burn about about 35 gal/hr at WOT
525sc's will burn about 50gal/hr at WOT

thats very close to me thoughts, because 50% increase of horsepower and 50% increase of fuel consumption sounds logic. i hope its not more.
