Default Drive upgrade..

Hi guys. Need some help. I blew my Bravo I drive back in October and am looking for something that can handle alittle more H.P. Any suggestions on a drive that will handle between 700-800 hp? Will a XR hold up or am I going to have to go to an aftermarket drive? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

konrad will hold the 800hp you can put the trans in the box thats the ace drive set up which is to replace your bravo 1. if you can't spend that much cause its a trans / ex box /gimbal /drive set up. othershot is having MR GADGITS on this site rebuild your drive if the case is good and its a newer drive. other wise get the xr. I have had between 585 and 670hp against my old 89 bravo 1 drive and laid it to rest when I built a new b1 with a 2'' shortie. I am now going to have MR.G put in a after market xr set up in the new 2'' shortie and use the b1x upper until it blows which if not stupid should last a season. then up grade to his gear set up. my new power this year is 1050hp at 6000rpm it looks. you should never nail a boat with a b1 drive from a stand still spot always get on plan easy I TRIM UNDER AND TABS DOWN TO TAKE STRESS OFF THE DRIVE so throttle to 2500 to 3000rpm back off as boat plans then throttle up to speed and once your at 4000 you should beable to just about snap it to 5000 or more so you still get the back snap but don't kill the drive/prophub/ drive coupler. I tolated to a bravo coupler and prop in one day with 330hp
