Default loose wires

i hate loose wires. but now i am gonna put new colour on my boat and i have throughn out the seats. i found out that i have a few unconnected cables behind the gauges. but i even cannot find where the cables go. i have no wiring diagram that helps me - so i hope on your help.

there are four cables in purple and grey or green behind my dashboard and they are running to the powertrim for rising the bravo. they are connected on the upper side of the pump. what can they be used for? everything is working fine, also the gauges.

any idea?

chris

it sounds like they are trim and tilt wires, if the sys. is working fine, I would just put a butt connector on the end of each wire, so they can't short out and tape up the wires out of the way.

buy the coler of the wires, they would have been for up and down control, if everything is working, block the ends so they can't short and tie them up.

What they said.

BTW, blue wire is for lights.

If its not broke, don't try and fix it.

As they said they are probably for dash mount trim controls , my 32 thunder has them in the dash for both motors.

They where used for the trimmswitch on both drives with one switch, and probably and one point someone rerigged the boat and left them in.
LEAF THEM ,,,if u take them out ,,nothing will work ,because u dont know where they split off !?

Thats my quess, would not be the first time somebody eliminates the syncron switches .
