im bidding on them right now... hopefully they will clear my manifolds.

The new Crane Golds are different and they should actually fit without grinding. My 525SC valve covers were exactly the same casting as my 454mag ones. They had the drip tabs ground off from the factory. They fit with no problems with Crane Golds and .610 lift.

Glad it was what you needed.

Where is the crack???? At the top between the dividers???? Thats where mine cracked and its pretty common.
It may be ok welded, but I'd keep an eye on the amount of steam coming out your exhaust. My hairline cracks cost me a couple exhaust valves.

i plugged the supply side fitting. then if you notice the rear drain is the same npt as an air chuck fitting. i installed a regulator in line... i plugged both top holes. i filled a barrel with water and applied 20psi to the manifold and submerged it in water to watch for bubbles. one is great but the other needs rescued. mabye ill gind someone with a partial set.

I have one of the Mercury finned VC's if you need it. It is in excellent condition. You can see it hanging on the wall.
