Default Tying in a power steering cooler...

Probably going to but I'm drawing a blank sitting here at work.

I'm switching from a dual cooler to seperate engine and power steering coolers with the water inlet/outlet drastically smaller than the engine cooler. Obviously if I tie them together flow is restricted to the smaller diameter. So what is the best way to plumb the water for the power steering cooler both inlet and outlet?

Anyone?

I agree with parallel but what's the cleanest way to route the water input and output? I need to either have a seperate location or some sort of "tee". My concern was with backflow creating an issue.

I'm probably overthinking this but everything is apart and I had the combination cooler before.

I generally use seperate oil and p/s coolers, but I use a p/s cooler with the same fitting size as the oil cooler. I either use 1" npt or 1 1/4 slip on. I recommend getting a p/s cooler of the same size so there is no restriction to water flow or plumbing issues. In this case, I bring the water out of the pump, through the oil cooler, through the p/s cooler and then into the front of the engine. Hope this helps, Eddie.

Thanks Eddie. that's what I'm familiar with. I was just trying to make use of some parts I have floating around my garage. Looks like another item to pickup to complete my build.

If the cooler is copper you can cut and resolder new 1" npts fittings. I have done that and run them inline like Eddie recommended>>

They make oversize combo coolers. I use the EMI cooller with threaded fittings. I use AN fittings for the water and oil then barb fittings for the power steering.
