Which alloy, Copper-Beryllium? Are you running Titanium valves in your boat engines?

Yes, only Ti on 12 degree heads like profiler, copper-berylium seats are the way to go, better heat transfer and corroision protection on the exhaust, have you ever tried cutting in a valve seat on alloy, it's very hard material. 20-25 $ per seat plus machining, most people don't understand the difference between the two. If you need to know the exact alloy makeup between intake and exhaust, I would have to look it up on the spec sheet.

If you have the time, it would be great, who is your source on valves and seats? What do you use when they aren't 12 degree heads?

My 1.90" Inconel exhaust valves are as heavy as my 2.4" SS intakes. Would love to lighten the weight but I always thought Titanium is for drag motors.
I was sold on the idea the Titanium Valves are incredibly light and cant be without them ...good luck Bro

Send them to Jimmy V

Stainless intakes , inconel exhaust. C.V Products for seats
Ferrea valves or if going custom Victory Valves for Ti, it wasn't cost effective for Victory, to do inconel and stainless in the the past.

I would run a Ti, intake of 2.400" , but always run a inconel exhaust valve, in a boat on pump fuel, you bet! SC like yours, I hope so.
Good to see someone out there knows quality; Percision Products, in Arden, NC.

How many hours can you get on Titanium? Is it 60 and they are toast?? It the inconel Exhaust that is so heavy in my application, same as the much larger stainless intake.

BTW with the help on both threads (2 sites)
.

Ran Del West intake and exhaust titanium's in some 14 deg's with 9.5:1. Ended up having problems on exhaust side and Del West said that with a compression ratio of only 9.5:1 I needed to get them out and go with a different valve as they do not like low compression ratio's. Higher compression no problem as apparently the exhaust runs cooler? Intake were fine.
