Default shift cable adjustment

trying to adjust the cable after installing new lower cables. i can get forward or reverse but not both what am i doing wrong.?

U should not get forward and revese at the same time anyways !!!

NOOOOOO,,just kidding ,,its a fine line between the 2 ,,,i always go ahead and set in neutral at the helm ,,then take the lower cable and pull,or push it in neutral aswell,,,,the hook it in by adjusting the upper cable that comes from the helm.

Sometimes it has to be adjusted on both ,,but it helps u get very close !!

Sounds like you need more throw. The cable from the helm can be adjusted as far as the amount of throw it has. There is a slot in the arm that it mounts to. If you move it farther away from the pivot point, you will increase it throw. Hope this helps, Eddie.
