Exclamation Mirege Questions

I have a 88 Mirage 217 Intruder,454,330hp,bravo1,21p mirage plus,4620 wot, thru prop exhaust. All the guys here and a few of the posts say I should be 65-68 mph. I get 58 on a good day mostly 55. What do I ned to do without a supercharged 502? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Scott

I dont think your speed is to far off for what you have. I had a 1989 24 foot Sunsation Rocket with the same power with thru hull exhaust ( no mufflers) 3200lbs and a 7 foot beam and I think my GPS speeds were around 63-64 mph.

The speed readings are from my gps, so I guess I can't complain. So I guess my only option is twins or about 10K in motor to get high 60's. Thanks Guys!

I owned the same boat a couple years ago, best speeds were also 58-60 GPS on the best days. I found the best prop overall was the Rev4 in a 21P. Got the same top end but greatly increased the midrange and bottom end.

I have this same boat. I'm also looking for the prop that makes it all right. I am now running a 15 1/4x19p mirage. I am running 55mph@4800rpm so I don't know what the magic bullet is. Any blade seems to trade one thing for another. right now I have a great whole shot. This prop does blow out easy so like i said i'm still looking.

Any use a High Five or Balistic?
