What does the stock Rochester Qjet carb flow ???
How many CFM
Dont want to over carb this thing

Stock Q-jets flow 750 CFM @ 1.5 "Hg. Like all carbs, they will only flow what the engine can draw. The small primaries and the secondary air valve will keep your low end snappy, so don't worry about over carbureting. You can run the same carb on a high rise spread bore oval port intake, just grind the heads to smooth the transition to the peanut port. I did this on a 7.4 L 300 HP 454, added the 454 Magnum cam and picked up 5 mph.
