My internal flappers in my tips drive me crazy with their noise opening and closing,i checked and all the rubber is still on them,my question is can i take them out and still be safe?I have cmi headers and a pretty stout cam from RM BUILDER,I would love to remove them, the tips are slash cut so external flappers are not an option.

I definately would not remove them. Its probably the counterweight on the flappers banging. You could try coating it something.

Are they new tips? I installed mine 5 years ago and I had the same problem with mine. The noise drove my crazy. They do work much better than the stock tips. I have either gotten used to it or they toned down.
