Ditto. And YOU CAN run stock roller lifters. Check too be sure you're dogbones don't lift but mine worked fine. If you can't find one I highly suggest Bob Madera. I made 845HP in a 515" procharged engine with his cam.

You can use stock lifters but you will need to check pushrod length. I have 2 sets of pushrods that I used with that cam and stock lifters. Get an adjustable pushrod tool and then tell me what length you come up with and I will check what I have.

Smitty - thanks. I guess I am torwn on using my existing lifters or buying new ones? The ones I have are stock with almost 400 hours on them. After I gave it some thought I am thinking I might change the springs and lifters, after all I am adding the Vortec supercharger. What dose everyone else think?

Change it as a package, Cam, Lifters, Pushrods, Springs. Use good components do not use OEM stuff.

The Summit guy is full of it. I ran a 731 cam in my 28 Pantera's 525SC/454ci and it was fine and by no means too big. It idled fine and I picked up about 100rpms over the stock cam. I spun it to 5300rpms. It made good midrange power.
Tell the Summit guy that hyd rollers don't like more than about 6000rpms.

Tell the guys at Summit to stick to cars. Boats are a whole different deal.
