F-350 Super Duty Oil Leak
I have a 1999 F-350 7.3 with 204k miles on it, haven't had any problems until now. Oil leaking from the inspection cover at the converter, engine oil, it's not coming from the intake valley on top, it's so bad it goes to the rear axle in spray, I really must say it's the rear seal at this time. Has anyone had this repaired, whats the cost, how long does it take, or has any one done the job them-self?

Seems like my shop did one about 3 years ago,rxr trans, rxr flexplate,I think we bought the seal from a international dealer,I also faintly remember a plastic seal driver or installation sleeve that came with it and some kinda black special rtv and that it was a one piece seal removable without doing anything to the oil pan. I think the seal was under 100$. Should be doable for about 500$ if you pay someone and they are not charging you 80$ a hour or under 100$ if you do it yourself,Smitty
